The Lifeguarding Instructor course trains instructor candidates to teach American Red Cross Lifeguarding courses including Lifeguarding Shallow Water Lifeguarding Aquatic Attraction Lifeguarding Waterpark Skills Waterfront Skills CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and Bloodborne Pathogens Training. This class is taught in a blended learning format and the online portion (accessed via mobile desktop or tablet) must be completed prior to attending the first in-person session of the instructor course. Prerequisites: 1. Minimum age: 17 years 2. Possess a current Red Cross certificate for Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid 3. Ability to successfully demonstrate all Lifeguarding and CPR skills including a precourse assessment to perform a water rescue (submerged drowning) extrication single rescuer CPR for 3 minutes.

Course Registration & Policies Payment in advance reserves your place in the selected course and secures limited class space, instructor staffing, equipment, and facility scheduling. All course payments are non-refundable. No refunds, reimbursements, or credits will be issued for participant cancellations, no-shows, missed classes, failure to pass the prerequisite swim evaluation, failure to complete required skills, failure to attend all scheduled sessions, failure to meet American Red Cross skill requirements, or failure to achieve the required passing score on written exams. Participants are responsible for attending all scheduled class dates and times. Text Message Communications By providing your mobile phone number, you consent to receive service-related text messages from CPR, ETC., Inc., including class confirmations, reminders, weather delays, cancellations, location changes, schedule updates, makeup information, and other important class notices. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or contact info@cpretc.org for assistance. We do not sell or rent your mobile phone number. We may use Wix and other trusted service providers to deliver communications and provide our services. Participants may reschedule for a $35 fee if requested at least 72 hours before the scheduled class. A maximum of two transfers is permitted, and all training must be completed within 90 days of the original course date. CPR, ETC., Inc. reserves the right to cancel, postpone, relocate, or modify classes due to low enrollment, instructor emergencies, weather, facility or pool closures, chemical imbalances, equipment failures, government actions, or other circumstances beyond our control. If a class is interrupted or canceled because of weather or facility issues, participants will be rescheduled into the next available class or issued a training credit. Refunds will not be provided for circumstances beyond CPR, ETC.’s control. Participants will be notified of significant schedule changes by email, phone, or text using the contact information provided during registration. By registering, participants acknowledge and agree to these policies and understand that American Red Cross certification is awarded only upon successful completion of all course requirements.
