Service Description
The Lifeguarding Instructor course trains instructor candidates to teach American Red Cross Lifeguarding courses including Lifeguarding Shallow Water Lifeguarding Aquatic Attraction Lifeguarding Waterpark Skills Waterfront Skills CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and Bloodborne Pathogens Training. This class is taught in a blended learning format and the online portion (accessed via mobile desktop or tablet) must be completed prior to attending the first in-person session of the instructor course. Prerequisites: 1. Minimum age: 17 years 2. Possess a current Red Cross certificate for Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid 3. Ability to successfully demonstrate all Lifeguarding and CPR skills including a precourse assessment to perform a water rescue (submerged drowning) extrication single rescuer CPR for 3 minutes.

Cancellation Policy
Payment in advance secures your place in your selected course and reserves limited class space, instructor staffing, equipment, and facility scheduling. All course payments are non-refundable once registered. No refunds, reimbursements, or credits will be issued for: * Participant cancellations * Missed classes or no-shows * Failure to pass the prerequisite swim evaluation * Failure to successfully complete course skills * Failure to attend all scheduled class sessions * Failure to meet American Red Cross skill requirements * Failure to achieve the required minimum passing score on written examinations Participants are responsible for travel and attending all scheduled class dates and times. If a participant needs to reschedule, a $35 rescheduling fee will apply. Rescheduling requests must be made at least 72 hours before the scheduled class start date. Participants may transfer classes a maximum of two times, and all training must be completed within 90 days of the original course date. CPR, ETC. reserves the right to cancel, reschedule, postpone, relocate, or modify classes due to low enrollment, instructor emergencies, weather conditions, facility issues, pool closures, chemical imbalances, equipment failures, government actions, or other unforeseen circumstances outside of our control. In the event of a class interruption, cancellation, or postponement from bad weather, a facility or aquatic venue issue, including city or pool closures, participants will be rescheduled into the next available course date or provided a training credit. No refunds will be issued for circumstances outside of CPR, ETC.’s control. Participants will be notified of significant schedule changes via email, phone, or text message using the contact information provided during registration. By registering for a course, participants acknowledge and agree to these policies and understand that American Red Cross certification is contingent upon successful completion of all course requirements.
